SPOTLIGHT ON POST YOUTH BASKETBALL

Post Youth Basketball (PYB) completed their season on March 1, in Post against Borden County and New Deal. There were a total of 12 teams with kids in grades 1-6. The season started on Jan. 11, and teams played against Borden County, Slaton, New Deal, Roosevelt, Ropes, Tahoka, and New Home.

Lady Lopes dominate district opener; defeat Morton 21-6

The Post Lady Lopes softball team traveled to Morton on Saturday, March 17, for their district opener against the Morton Lady Indians. The Lady Lopes entered the game with an overall record of 7-8 following their victory over Borden County the previous week.

This Saturday, March 22, is the State Powerlifting Meet at the Taylor County Expo in Abilene. The meet consists of lifters all across the state in every classification. Some are looking for their first- ever state championship, while others are looking to add to their legacies.

Bold Gold; Lady Lopes hold their own at Snyder Track Meet

The Post Bold Gold and Lady Lope track and field teams traveled to Snyder last Thursday, March 13, for the Snyder Canyon Reef Relays. The Bold Gold and Lady Lopes competed against upper classification competition for the second time this season.

Last week, the Bold Gold and Lady Lope tennis team traveled to Sundown for the Roughneck Tennis Tournament. Post competed against schools such as Whiteface, Olton, Sundown, and Seagraves. Post had a strong showing at Sundown.Jada Schroth took home second place in women’s singles.
