National Arbor Day is the official day to plant and care for trees. It is celebrated each year on the last Friday in April. This year it is April 24. The National Arbor Foundation (arborday.org) is a global nonprofit established to inspire people to plant, nurture, and celebrate trees.

The Heirloom Kitchen Oats are so versatile. I grew up with quick-cooking oats and old fashion rolled oats. My mom fed us well and stirred up a pot of warm oatmeal quite often. I liked them with the basic pat of butter, splash of milk, and a spoonful of sugar.

The Garza County Child Welfare Board (GCCWB) brought in John Wuerflein with Children’s Advocacy Center to teach the Play it Safe! classes at the Post ISD elementary school. A total of 185 students attended presentations throughout the day that were unique to each grade level.
