In 1949, Patsy was born in her parents’ hometown of Fairfield, TX, about 90 miles south of Dallas on IH 45 at the crossroads of US 84.Her and her younger sister, Sharon Fryer Watson, hunted, fished, and fed cattle with their parents.

Over 100 years of family heritage in agricultural production

The Texas Department of Agriculture celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Family Land Heritage Program. More than 5,000 Texas families were honored during that time for their ownership and continuous agricultural production for 100 years or more.
