City Council approves first CEDC façade grant

During a recent meeting of the City Council, all members unanimously approved a façade grant for Smokin Dick’s. The Caprock Economic Development Corp (CEDC) has set aside $30,000 for commercial businesses to apply for façade grants.

Not all superheroes wear capes; some come on tractors prepared to work in a neighbor’s fields. Danny and Susan Gonzales of the Close City community experienced this reaction when they rolled up to 3G Farms last Thursday.

The City of Post received one bid for the Garza Theater before the deadline of 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2024. The city published the notices to bid on the property in the June 28 and July 5 issues of the Post Dispatch.

Sheriff Terry Morgan reported the calls the Sheriff’s Office received in June. The total number of calls was 450. There were nine calls related to the Fire Department, 47 calls were EMS calls and the most were Law Enforcement calls totaling 394 calls.
