Disaster assistance for 2023 livestock forage losses

Producers in Garza-Borden County are eligible to apply for the 2023 Livestock Forage Disaster Program (LFP) benefits on small grain, native pasture, improved pasture, annual ryegrass, and forage sorghum.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) today announced that agricultural producers can now enroll in the Farm Service Agency’s (FSA) Agriculture Risk Coverage (ARC) and Price Loss Coverage (PLC)programs for the 2024 crop year.

Date set for Candidates’ Forum

Local candidates on the ballot in the March 5 Primary Election have been invited to participate in a Candidates’ Forum scheduled for Thursday, February 8, at 6:00 p.m. The forum will be held at the Post Community Center in the Lone Star Room.
