Post sees first snowfall of '24

Post, Texas saw its first snow this winter, Sunday morning. Believe it or not, the ground gained approximately .36 inches of water out of all that snowfall, according to LocalConditions. com in Garza County. But hey, we’ll take it.

Early voting for primary begins Tuesday

Early voting begins on Tuesday, Feb. 20, at the Garza County Courthouse for the March 5 Primary Election. Effective September 1, 2023, House Bill 1217 amended Section 85.

Commissioners discuss jail inspections, landfill

The Garza County Commissioner’s Court gathered Monday morning to deliberate and consider actions on multiple topics. They approved minutes from the previous meeting and accounts payable. EMC Michael Isbell reported a crash this morning at 4 a.m.

Deadline to file for city, school offices Feb. 16

The filing period for the May election closes today at 5 p.m. Early voting is from April 22- 30. The voter registration deadline for the May election is April 4. Here’s a look at the local races and who has filed as of The Post Dispatch’s press deadline.

Headed to All-State Band

ALL STATE Katelyn Ferguson, a sophomore at PHS, will head to San Antonio this week to compete at the Association of Texas Small School Bands (ATSSB) All-State Band. Katelyn was selected to audition for the All-State Band and placed fifth on the clarinet to earn the position.
