TESTING OF EMERGENCY SIRENS

Michael Isbell, Emergency Management Coordinator, has confirmed that the City of Post will test the emergency sirens on Wednesday, May 10, at 9:00 a.m. The City of Post has five sirens strategically placed throughout town that will be tested. All residents should be able to hear the sirens.

May 6 election school and health care district on the ballot

On May 6, voters will decide on three Post ISD school board members and one member for the Garza County Health Care District. The City of Post will elect a mayor and two members to the City Council. Early voting has been slow and poll workers are hoping for a large turnout on Saturday.

PACC honors businesses of the year at Casino Night

Post Area Chamber of Commerce held “Casino Night” Saturday at the Post Community Center with over 100 in attendance. It’s been two years since PACC has gathered to honor businesses and individuals who have worked to make the community a better place to live.

Project Improving US 84 bridge drainage system

GARZA COUNTY – Work on a $1.79 million Texas Department of Transportation project making drainage, culvert and road surface improvements to a US 84 bridge, located about 20 miles east of Post in Garza County, is set to begin April 24.
