As we all paused to honor those who served on Veterans Day, one small yet deeply symbolic display continues to capture our attention and hearts—the Missing Man Table. Our local VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) had the table set up at their spaghetti dinner fundraiser.

When I drive down Post’s Main Street in mid-November through December, the lights in and on every store, the lights dangling through the trees in the median, and the lighted figures and colorful wreaths sure grab my heart. It’s like a spark of Christmas magic filling me with excitement and hope.
