Star Feed & Seed Big Buck Contest underway for 2023-24

A hunting tradition kicking off every November for more than two decades is underway once more— the annual Big Buck Contest sponsored by Star Feed & Seed of Spur.Star Feed & Seed's Big Buck Contest is open to all licensed hunters who hunt in Dickens County and the eight surrounding counties.

West Texas food pantries bring help, hope to the South Plains

The holidays often bring increased grocery bills, and for many families across the South Plains, that makes it harder to keep their families fed, particularly in times of uncertainty as SNAP and other programs have been threatened.

Bold Gold and Lady Lopes shine at Wellman Tournament

The Post Bold Gold and Lady Lopes basketball teams traveled to Wellman- Union last weekend for the Wellman Tournament. The Bold Gold entered the tournament, making their season debut, while the Lady Lopes entered the weekend hoping to avenge their loss to Winters earlier in the week.
