A fundraising campaign has been launched to support 13-year-old Kyler Smith and his family following his diagnosis with T-cell lymphoma.The online fundraiser, GoFundMe, organized by family member Allisha Belongia, seeks to help offset expenses related to Kyler’s treatment and recovery.

UIL Legislative Council approves shot clock pilot program

The UIL Legislative Council approved a proposal to enact a pilot program for the 2026-2027 school year for the use of a 35-second shot clock for basketball that will be optional in all conferences for varsity tournaments and showcases upon mutual agreement between coaches.
