The Garza County Historical Museum, in partnership with the Caprock Cultural Association, will host a spring quilt show this weekend, Saturday, May 2, featuring selections from its collection alongside community-submitted entries.The free event will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the museum, 119 N.

The Garza County Child Welfare Board held its inaugural Color Run to raise awareness for child abuse prevention, drawing strong community participation.Organizers said the event brought together residents, volunteers and sponsors in support of the cause.

The Garrison Institute on Aging will host a community presentation on aging at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 7, at Post Methodist Church.Barbara Singer will lead the program, focusing on memory loss, dementia, and how to distinguish between age-related conditions.
