Girl Scouts to host ice cream social in Post

Families interested in learning more about Girl Scouts are invited to an Ice Cream Social from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, at 506 W. Seventh St. in Post.The free event will offer ice cream, opportunities to meet local Girl Scout troops and information about scouting for girls and their families.
COMMUNITY SUPPORT Jake Hantz, representing Atmos Energy, presented a $25,000 donation to the Post Volunteer Fire Department, reflecting the company’s continued commitment to supporting local first responders and strengthening the community. The Cyclospora outbreak has many people wondering what they should do with lettuce and other types of fresh produce. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), investigation of the current nation-wide outbreak is ongoing.
SENIOR SUNRISE Post ISD is celebrating the last first day of school with the class of 2027 Monday morning. Breakfast will be provided. Students are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs to sit on as well as footballs or yard games to play. Families are welcome to come and bring cameras to capture the memories.
