In these past several weeks we have covered a significant amount of ground. We have discussed virtues as the “muscles” of the soul, as the good habits that properly order us in our actions, thoughts and words. They are necessary to avoid sin and grow in holiness through the grace of God.

Candidates seeking seats on either the Post ISD school board, the City Council, or the Garza County Health Care Board began filings last week. For the May 3 election, filings will continue through Feb. 14. The last day to file a Declaration of Write-in Candidacy will be Tuesday, Feb. 18.

During the Garza County Junior Livestock Association dinner and sale, the Premier Autos of Texas team had an opportunity to spend time with members of the GCJLA at the livestock show. They witnessed the hard work and love the kids had put into their animal projects. The team was inspired.

The Garza County Junior Livestock Homemaking Division sewed a quilt in their first year for a raffle. During the Livestock Sale on Thursday, Jan. 16, RaeAnna Dennison won the quilt raffle drawing. Dennison was not present but at home with her new baby.
