We are all stories in the end.
Jana’s story started on January 15, 1967, in Lubbock, TX, born to Tom and Janey (Mahle) Middleton, and ended on April 20, 2024, in Post, TX.
Growing up on the family ranch, Jana learned the value of hard work, fat cows, and a good “cowboy” rain. She was a proud member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of ’89 (WHOOP!) and loved to attend football, basketball and baseball games when she was in College Station.
Jana’s most valuable possessions were the friends she made that became family. From her time at Harris Moran Seed Company and, later, Texas Farm Bureau, she made friends that lasted a lifetime, no matter the miles that separated them.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Brett. Jana is survived by her chosen family, including her lifelong best friend, who became a sister, Kayla Slack (Skip) and their children, Kyle and Karsyn.
To honor Jana, contributions can be made to the Texas Farm Bureau Young Farmer and Rancher Scholarship program. Checks can be made payable to Texas Farm Bureau with Jana Middleton in the memo.
