Born April 16, 1921, to Alex and Nona Kittrell in Lorenzo. She passed away in the evening on June 14, 2024, at 103 years of age. Services were held June 18th at Hudman Funeral Home in Post, Texas.
She received a masters degree in teaching from Texas Tech spanning a career lasting 48 years in the public school system. She taught at the Graham School early in her career where she also was the girls’ basketball coach. She later started teaching at the Post Independent School System where she retired after teaching many generations of students.
She is survived by nephew James McBride and wife Glen Ann, and nieces Annette Bernard and Jeffie Ann Rainwater. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews, many great-great-nieces and nephews and a great-great-great niece and nephew.
