Cathy was born on August 9, 1967, in Lubbock, Texas, and grew up in Post, Texas. She graduated from Post High School in 1985 and carried the values of her family with her throughout her life.

For more than 29 years, Cathy dedicated her career Culture and Care Committees and was a station trainer who helped guide and mentor countless employees. On May 1, 2004, Cathy married the love of her life, Tim Cook. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter and adventure. In 2022 they embarked on one to Southwest Airlines, where she was known not only for her hard work and leadership but also for the care and kindness she showed to others. She served on Southwest’s of their greatest adventures when they packed up and moved to the Big Island of Hawaii, embracing new experiences and making cherished memories together.

Cathy had a passion for travel and a remarkable gift for friendship. No matter where her journeys took her, she formed lasting connections and left a positive impression on everyone she met. Her warmth, infectious smile, and generous spirit made people feel welcome and valued. The light she brought into the lives of others will continue to shine through the many friends and family members who were blessed to know her.

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, Lee W. “Bud” Davis and Janie Davis, and her grandparents, Estelle and Lee Davis Sr.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Tim Cook; her sisters, Carol Williams of Post, Texas, Christy Ratheal of Lubbock, Texas, and Leanna Davis of San Antonio, Texas; her nephews, Luke Williams (Laura) of Roanoke, Texas, and Michael Ratheal of Lubbock, Texas; her niece, Laura Powell (Logan) of Lubbock, Texas; and her beloved great-nieces and great-nephews, Katelyn and Mason Williams, and Caroline and Jack Powell.

Though her time with us was far too short, Cathy lived a life full of love, friendship, adventure and service to others. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all whose lives she touched.
