Body

Dora was born to William Reed Sr and Alberta Hill on September 21, 1940. She was the third of their seven children. Dora started school but had to stop attending in order to help support her family. In 1957, she met Dock Williams, and they got married in 1958 in Roxton, Texas. They were married for one year and then welcomed their first of seven children. She spent the early years of her marriage in Lorenzo, Tx., but then moved to Post, in 1982. This is where she spent the rest of her life until she went to be with the Lord on October 18, 2023. She was 83 years old.

She always worked hard to get the things that she wanted in life. For most of her career, she was a cook, and she really enjoyed cooking for everyone! She not only loved her own kids, but shelovedhergrandkidsand enjoyed spending time with them so much so, that her grandkids would consider her mom.

If you knew her, you would know that she LOVED watching Western movies (shoot “em ups, as she called them). She also LOVED her soap operas. If you went to visit her, you would need to be ready to watch either of the two.

Preceding Dora in death were her parents (William and Alberta Reed). Her siblings Viola Humphrey, Dorothy Sue Griffin, Eddie Mae Thomas, Harold Reed, W. M. Reed, and Deloise Reed. Her son Johnny Ray Williams. Her daughter Amy Roberts.

Dora leaves to cherish her siblings Dorothy Pringler and Bill Reed of Amarillo, TX, Annie Lee Bennett of Oklahoma City, OK, and Charles Reed of Lubbock, TX. Her children Patricia Greathouse of Lubbock, TX (Donnie Greathouse), Brenda Williams of Fort Stockton, TX, Trina Hengen (Jerry Hengen), Gary Don of Lubbock, TX, and Dianna Williams of Dallas, TX (Thomas Williams). Ten grandchildren, 12 greatgrandchildren,
