Evelyn Wynelle Fitzgerald Craft, 1932–2025 93, of Jacksboro, Texas, formerly of Post, Texas, passed away Monday, Aug. 25, 2025, at Greystone Park Assisted Living in Jacksboro. Funeral services were held Aug. 30, at the Post Church of Christ with Travis Sweet officiating. Interment followed at Terrace Cemetery under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home.
Wynelle was born Aug. 15, 1932, in Munday, Texas, to the late Cecil W. and Mildred (Draper) Fitzgerald. She graduated from Munday High School at age 16. During that senior year of 1948–49 Wynelle was named Harvest Queen. She played baseball, volleyball in school years, then tennis and golf in later years. She shot a hole-in-one at the Cloudcroft, New Mexico, golf course in 1981. Wynelle worked in the accounting field for 60 years for Texas Public School System and local businesses. She retired as administrative aide III from Texas Public School System and continued working until her late 70s. She worked many different places, including Ely & Walker, Inc., Caprock Chevrolet, Conoco Dealership, Ralph Kirkpatrick Auto Electric Shop, City of Post, Guthrie ISD, Southland ISD, and WJC Inc. Wynelle loved her family, the Lord, her church, cooking, scrapbooking, traveling, country music, dancing, crossword puzzles and free cell.
Wynelle is survived by her daughter Vicki (Sudie) Mills Miller and husband, Henry Miller, of Cypress, Texas; son Toby D. Craft of Jacksboro, Texas; daughter Trasi D. Craft Ogle and husband, Tim Ogle, of Jacksboro, Texas; daughter-inlaw Kim Mitchell Mills Oller of Lubbock, Texas; sisterin- law Barbara Kirschner Fitzgerald of Munday, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters Marquietta Ward and Sharlene Drennan; her brother William (Billy Frank) Fitzgerald; and her son Larry Don Mills.
