Long time Post resident James “Jimmy” Thomas Ammons, Jr. went to the Lord Monday February 20, 2023 in Lubbock, Texas. Jimmy was born on November 23, 1951, in Slaton, TX to James Thomas Ammons, Sr. and Margaret Williamson. He went to Post schools, then graduated with a GED. He was a pumper for most of his life.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by two sons Michael Ammons of San Diego, CA and Tommy Ammons of Lubbock, TX, one daughter Louann Clark of Lubbock, TX, brother Bobby Ammons of Buna, TX, and sister Toni Marie Ammons of Lubbock, TX.
A memorial service with be held at a later date.
