Modean Pewitt, 81, from Post, Tx passed away peacefully on November 25, 2023 in Lubbock, Tx.

Modean was born on April 15, 1942, to Lawrence and Nora Jackson who preceded herindeath.Shegrew upinDraw,Tx,andattended O’Donnell High School.

She married her beloved husband William (Bernard) Pewitt on January 27, 1961. They had children and a successfulbusinesstogether, sharing a very happy and loving life.

She’s preceded in death byherparentsLawrenceand NoraJackson;hersonDelton Pewitt, and daughter, Twila (Raymie) Holly; great grandchildren Baby Dj and sweet Nevaeh; and her brother Jim Jackson.

She’s survived by her husband William (Bernard) Pewitt, loving daughter Jackie Pewitt, her caring son Jamie (Carlos) Pewitt-Corona, and grandchildren Macie(Raymond), Tanner(Keysha), Nikki, Cody, and Abby all of Post, TX. Amber(Lauro) and Austin(Zianna) of Balmorhea, Tx. Ashley of Snyder, TX. Ty(Maria) and Brandon of Amarillo, TX. Her sisters Katherine and Rosie (Wayne) of Lamesa, TX. Her brothers Bo (Marita) of Post, TX, Maurice (Patsy) of O’Donnell, TX, Jim (Donna) Cameron of California, and her sisterin- law Dortha Jackson. She is also survived by 18 wonderful great-grandchildren and was welcoming 2 new great-grand babies. She also is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Modeanlovedeverybody she met. She always had a smile on her face, and everything was funny to her. She loved her family with everything she had. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and memaw to all her grandkids and greatgrandkids. She was very special to all the friends and family who loved her.
