It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passingofNicolasJavierSolis, 30 years old, on November 21, 2023.

After graduating from Coronado High School, he attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. Nick spent some time in Austin, Texas, working and connecting with his closest cousins and exploring the outdoors, making lifelong friendships whereverhewent.Homewas toofarawaythough,andafter a while he returned to Lubbock to be closer to his immediate family and explore new opportunities. Nick joined Covenant Medical Center, finding a new direction in healthcare.

Visitation will begin at 11 am and a rosary will be prayed at Hudman Funeral Home Thursday, November 30th at 7:00pm. A mass of Christianburialwillbeheldon Friday, December 1st at 11:00 am at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Post, Texas with Father Jacob Powell officiating. We will meet at Hudman Funeral Home (opens at 9:00am) before the mass and travel from the funeral home to the church. A graveside service at Terrace Cemetery in Post, Texas will follow the mass. Services are under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home.

Heissurvivedbyhisloving parents, Ruben and Victoria Solis, his older brother Jaime Solis(Sabrina),hisoldersister Jessica Solis (Robert), as well as by his nephews Austin, Aidan, Ashton, Vincent Solis, and his niece Eloise Solis.

Nicolas is preceded in death by his older brother Gregory Solis, two sets of grandparents,Ascensionand Esperanza Solis & Louis and AscensionMartinez,aswellas by his uncle’s Raul Solis, Jose & Otto Martinez and aunts Mary Lou Gonzales, Mary Quinonez, and Alicia Varela.

Nicklovedhisfamilymore than anything, other than maybe his best furry friend, Cooper. All are welcome to celebrate the life and mourn thelossofNicolasJavierSolis. And while his body may be gone,hismemorylivesforever in the hearts and minds of all who were lucky enough to know and love him. Nick was our bright shining light that will be missed so very much and never forgotten.
