Ronnie Parrish, 1977- 2023

RONNIE PARRISH

Ronnie Parrish, born on November 17, 1944, was the last of five children to A.O. and Jewell (Ritchie) Parrish of Post. He was called home to the Eternal Promised Land on Nov. 30, 2023. Waiting for him are his parents, four brothers, and his beloved wife, Ruby.

Ronnie was born and raised in Post and grew up to become a cotton farmer like his father. He served in the Army as a welder. On Feb. 16, 1980. Ronnie married his love, Ruby (Elmore) of Slaton, and welcomed his first daughter, Wendy Nelson of Post. They went on to have two more children: a son, Ronnie (Kristi), and a daughter, Kassie Parrish, all of Post. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Granddaughters Laurkyn Stevens and Aidan O’Bryan, grandsons Logan Boyles and Keegan Stanley, and two great-granddaughters and one great-grandson.

Ronnie was always someone who was willing to offer a hand when needed. or to give advice for home projects. His loss is deeply felt, and his life was greatly treasured.

Funeral services were held on Dec.2, 2023, at Hudman Funeral Home Chapel with John Bill Hedrick officiating. Interment followed at Terrace Cemetery under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home.
