The Southland Lady Eagles, led by Coach Brooks Keele, tipoff their basketball season this Saturday, November 9th, against the Meadow Lady Broncos. The Lady Eagles are in a new district due to the realignment that occurred back in February.

The Southland Eagles looked to earn their first district win of the season against the Dawson Dragons last Friday night. Southland entered the week with an overall record of 2-5 and were 0-2 in district play.

Last week the Post Lady Lopes split their district games between the Tahoka Lady Bulldogs and the Ropes Lady Eagles.The Lady Lopes beat Tahoka 3 sets to 2 to improve their overall record to 8- 18 heading into the district contest against Ropes later that Saturday.
