RUSS MORRIS | POST DISPATCH The Post Little League and Junior League teams took to the baseball and softball diamonds on May 23.Under warm and partly cloudy skies, the teams welcomed rivals Slaton, Seagraves, and Jayton out to where the South Plains and the Big Country meet.

Kent County Golf Course announces 2026 summer tournament schedule

STEPHANIE ALLEN | POST DISPATCHThe Kent County Golf Course is set to kick off its 2026 summer golf season with a full slate of tournaments throughout the summer. The nine-hole course, owned and operated by Kent County, is located at Jayton Park on County Road 143, just west of Jayton off FM 1083.

Southland High School athlete Audrey Lee is scheduled to compete at the 1A State track meet May 16 in Austin, after finishing in second place in the shot put and the discus during the region meet to qualify.Lee is the third competitor from Southland ISD to advance to the 1A State meet since 2017.

The Post Bold Gold and Lady Lopes track and field teams were scheduled to compete in the 2A Region 1 track meet at West Texas A&M University on May 1 and 2.Post competed against teams from Districts 1 through 8 for an opportunity to advance to the 2A State meet.
