Senior Mason Wright represented Post High School at the Texas Relays on April 4, finishing 13th out of 25 Class 2A-6A throwers.The 98th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays, presented by Truist, were held April 1-4 at Mike A.

Southland athletes turned in strong performances at the district tennis tournament, earning multiple honors and advancing competitors to the next level.Adam Rodela and Spencer McMahan claimed the boys doubles championship to qualify for the regional tournament.

The Post Bold Gold and Lady Lopes track and field teams were scheduled to travel to Floydada on Thursday, April 9, and Friday, April 10, to compete in the UIL 2A District 4 Meet. Post was scheduled to compete against teams from Abernathy, New Deal, New Home, Floydada, Tahoka and Ralls.

The Post Lady Lopes traveled to Morton on March 31 to begin the second half of the district schedule. The Lady Lopes suffered their first district loss the previous week at Sundown.The Lady Lopes jumped out to an early 5-2 lead after the first inning.

The Post Bold Gold baseball team hosted the Tahoka Bulldogs on March 31. The Bold Gold were seeking their first district win of the season and aimed to get back in the playoff race.Tahoka led the game 3-1 after the second inning.

Post High School welding students toured the South Plains College Welding Program on April 5, and received handson training in carbon arc cutting.The school district also highlighted its senior welding students, who are on track to graduate with 12 college credit hours through South Plains College.

The Southland Eagles and Lady Eagles track and field teams were scheduled to travel to Petersburg on Wednesday, April 8, to compete in the UIL 1A District 7 meet. Southland was scheduled to compete against teams from Crosbyton, Lorenzo, O’Donnell, Petersburg and Wilson.
