Green Goddess Dressing

The Traditional Green Goddess Dressing was created in the 1920’s by Chef Philip Roemer at the Palace Hotel. It was intended to honor actor George Arliss who was staying at the hotel in San Francisco. Arliss starred in a play called The Green Goddess.

New arrivals at the library

As we begin May, most parents and children hit high gear. Closing school activities, opening summer recreation activities, awards, and graduation come so fast it can be overwhelming. Farmers begin planting. Traffic increases and summer plans begin, no matter how big or small.

100th Quail Appreciation Day set for May 17
