The Amity Study Club met recently at the home of Jane Trail. Curtis Hudman gave the program on the history of the old C. W. Post House. Members merrily took a stroll across the street to the old mansion built in 1913.

It seems inevitable. Whatever is “in” eventually will be “out.” Whatever is out eventually will be the next big thing. In the wine world, orange/amber wine and qvevri are examples. Orange/amber wine is made in the simplest way. Grapes are dumped in a container and nature takes its course.

I hope your Thanksgiving was enjoyable. Now we are moving right into December. Perhaps it’s with age that time moves so quickly. If so, I’ll admit I’m there. We have much to look forward to this weekend with the “Light Up Post” Saturday.

Thanksgiving Closings

Students in Garza County will return to classes on Monday. They have been off for the Thanksgiving holiday this week. There will be no mail delivery on Thanksgiving Day. The post office is closed that day but will open and deliveries will resume on Friday.
