Candidates who seek seats on either the Post ISD school board, City Council, or the Garza County Health Care Board still a week to file. The May 3 election filings will continue through Feb. 14. The last day to file a Declaration of Write-in Candidacy will be Tuesday, Feb. 18.

Garza County Commissioners met for a special meeting on Thursday, Jan. 30 to consider issuing a Request for Proposals ( RFP) to se cure proposals from operators interested in operating the Giles W. Dalby Correctional Facility.

What started as an annual brisket dinner for the Post band booster parents on homecoming night turned into a real big deal barbecue.
