Council votes to discontinue curbside trash pickup

During the City Council’s regular meeting on June 13, members were faced with a lengthy agenda that included discussion and action concerning the curbside trash pickup for the city that eventually led to a unanimous vote to discontinue the service.

Oh what fun we are having at the Summer Reading Program! Mrs. Giddens read two books to us about firefighters and our community. The Post Fire Department and Stetson Cimental were amazing and brought a real fire truck for us to take pictures and inspect. We loved this!

One person has been arrested on murder charges in Garza County

According to the Garza County Sheriff’s Office, one person has been arrested on murder charges after a man was found dead in northwest Garza County near Southland.
