Jack Morris went to be with his lord and Savior on Saturday, June 24, 2023, after a lengthy illness. Graveside services were held June 28, 2023, at Terrace Cemetery, and a Celebration of Life followed at Graham Chapel Methodist Church with John Bill Hedrick officiating. Services were under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home.

Grady Glenn Norman, age 98, went to be with his Lord and reunite with his bride, Mary Margaret Norman, on June 19, 2023. He was born on March 7, 1925, in Grassland Texas. Graveside services were held June 22, 2023, at the Grassland Cemetery with a memorial service held at the First Baptist Church in Post. Services are under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home.

On May 29, 2023, Felipe Gonzales Vargas, Jr., Mineman Class A (MN3), Navy, Ret. passed away. He is survived by wife Colette Vargas; children, Benjamin Vargas, Felichia Vargas, Christopher Vargas, Trey Vargas, and Taran Vargas; mother, Aurora S. Vargas; siblings, Joe Ray Sifuentez, Aurora Vargas, Benjamin Vargas, and Tony Vargas; step siblings, Virginia Marquez, Victor Vargas, Anita Hernandez, Eva Sisneros, Danny Vargas, and Alice Vargas.

Clyde Douglas Shepherd, 91, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2023. He was born May 17, 1932, to the late Otis and Annie Mae Shepherd in Garza County.

Jerry Lawrence Epley, “Poppa,” age 88, passed from this world and into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, May 11, 2023, in Slaton, Texas, surrounded by loving friends and family. Jerry was born to Lawrence and Thelma (Chesnut) Epley on December 2nd, 1934, in Duncan, Oklahoma; he was their only child.

James Warren Mitchell III, affectionally known as Jimmy, Daddy, and Jammy, walked on to heaven’s first tee box on May 2, 2023. Born to James Warren Mitchell, Jr. and Mary Irene Craig Mitchell on November 13, 1944 at Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, Jimmy was the joy of his parents’ lives.

James Brent Bilberry, or Shorty as everyone knew him, closed his eyes on this side of eternity on May 12, 2023, and opened to them to see his Savior, Jesus. His faith has become sight, and his hope of the things to come is now his reality. Services for Shorty, 62, of Post, Texas, was on, May 17, 2023, at Post Methodist Church with Pastor Luke Bilberry and Pastor Curt Greer officiating. Burial will follow at Terrace Cemetery with the help of Hudman Funeral Home.

JULIA BASQUEZ MARTINEZ Julia Basquez Martinez, 76, of Lawrence, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at First Baptist Church in Post, Tx, with Isaias Martinez officiating.

LOU ANN DUBREE Lou Ann Dubree, 86, of Lubbock, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023, surrounded by family. She was born on June 13, 1936, in Lubbock, Texas to the late Cleo Benjamin and Lura (Austin) King.
