Angela Marie (DeJesus) Simpson passed away in Lubbock, Texas, on February 12, 2024. She was born January 16, 1977, in Geneva, Ohio, to Manuel and Sherry Gomez DeJesus. She grew up in Ashtabula but spent some of her childhood living with her father’s family in Puerto Rico. Time spent on the Island became some of her best memories of her early years. She was a 1996 graduate of Slidell, Louisiana High School. She also cherished the years she lived with her grandmother, Dominica Antoinetta, in Big Spring, Texas. While in Big Spring, she worked as a lab assistant for a Biology Professor at Howard College. Fifteen years later, on September 5, 2015, Angela married the biology professor and love of her life, Lynn Aaron Simpson. They made their home in Mexia, Texas, and later in Post, Texas.

Jack “Jackie Lee” Gordon's life was a testament to his unwavering faith and dedication to spreading the message of Christ’s love. He was born on Jan. 11, 1952, in Brownfield, TX to Oscar and Lorene Gordon. Graduating from Post High School in 1970, Jack married the love of his life, Mary Ann Strawn, on April 9, 1971, in Post, TX. He continued his education at South Plains College where he earned a full scholarship to the University of North Texas as a vocal and performance major. He later attended Sunset School of Preaching in Lubbock and graduated in 1985. In 2001, he graduated from Lubbock Christian University with a BA in Bible Ministry. Jack embarked on a spiritual journey that would touch the lives of many throughout his near 40-year career as a minister of the gospel. His fervor for ministry saw him serve communities in various cities, which include McAlister, OK, Deer Lodge, MT, Clovis, NM, McAllen, TX, Pharr, TX, and he served the last 25 years of his ministry in Slaton, TX for the Hearts Together Church of Christ,

HIAWATHA GARZA Hiawatha Garza was born to Phillip and Guadalupe Martinez on June 12, 1940 in Post, Texas. She went to her eternal home on February 5, 2024.

LEONOR MARIN CHAPA Leonor Marin Chapa, of Post, gained her heavenly wings on February 9, 2024, and is now in the presence of our Lord at the age of 79. She was born November 6, 1944, in Linares, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to the late Gavino Marin Rios and Niebes Perales de la Fuente and was a resident of Post for 50 years.

BESSIE ELIZABETH MELTON Bessie Elizabeth Melton, 83, of Post, TX passed from this life on February 4, 2024. She was born on October 20, 1940, in Firebaugh, California to Frances and Rosie Lee Duncan.

BETTY CORENE POSEY Betty Corene Posey Went home to be with the Lord on Thursday February 8, 2024 at age of 87. Betty was a resident of Post for over 50 years.
