Jean Baldree, 77, of Post, passed away on Nov. 8, 2023, in Lubbock. She was born on April 2, 1946, in Clayton, New Mexico, to Raymond and Audrey (Stewart) Rolan. Jean grew up in Post and graduated from Post High School.

JOHNNY HAIR Johnny Lynn Hair, also known as “Joking Johnny,” came into this world on Feb. 4, 1952, to Jack Allison and Marcella Lavern Ammons.

Dora was born to William Reed Sr and Alberta Hill on September 21, 1940. She was the third of their seven children. Dora started school but had to stop attending in order to help support her family. In 1957, she met Dock Williams, and they got married in 1958 in Roxton, Texas. They were married for one year and then welcomed their first of seven children. She spent the early years of her marriage in Lorenzo, Tx., but then moved to Post, in 1982. This is where she spent the rest of her life until she went to be with the Lord on October 18, 2023. She was 83 years old.

Linda Kay Bartlett Wheatley, age 81, of Quinlan, left this earthly life on Monday, Sept. 4, 2023. A celebration of her life was held in her hometown of over 50 years, Quinlan, on Sept. 8. A gravesideservicewasheldon Saturday, Sept. 9, at Terrace Cemetery in Post, Texas.

Harrison Lamar Jones left this life to begin his next on September 20, 2023. He was born in Garza County on October 26, 1946, to Bernice and Thelma Jones. He was 76 years old. Lamar spent his childhood years alongside his sister, Mary Lois, growing up on the edge of town near Sand Creek.
